Position Summary:
Successful client is seeking a Java Web Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Irving, TX! The client is seeking candidates with strong focus on database-driven web development. The selected resource will join a team of Developers, DBAs, and Architects in building and improving the client’s web-based data-centric products.

Is this position a fit?
• Can you sum up numbers in a Java array without using a loop?
• Can you write a simple application using spring boot which adds records in a simple Employee-Department database tables?
• Can you write Java function/algorithm for multiplication and division without using the operators (*,/)?
• Can you get the list of all hyperlinks on a web page with a single line of javascript?
• Do you know what responsive design has to do with the word “media “?

Responsibilities
• Understands Java / JEE technical designs and ability to convert them into code.
• Follows technology best practices – unit testing, source control operations, design pattern, agile practices.
• Dig deeper to find the root cause and strive to find the solution.
• Designer – Envisions and communicates code, web and database designs for given problems.
• Knows how to seek answers, solve complex problems and support continuous improvement.
• Fluent in technical lingo – Java / JEE terminology, Database terminology, design patterns, agile methods, web implementation patterns.
• Actively participate in problem analysis and technical design sessions.
• Coordinates, collaborates, communicates and manages expectations

Must have 5 years’ experience and exhibit proficiency in ALL the topics below:
• Java / JEE.
• Spring Boot.
• Spring MVC.
• JSON & XPath.
• Git / Gradle / Gulp.
• AngularJS.
• SASS / LESS.
• PL-SQL.

Preferred Skills:
• knowledge of Elastic Search/Micro services.
• Healthcare/supply chain analytics experience.
