How our e-commerce plugin works
Build trust with customers on WordPress by offloading billing and checkout to Stripe.
Create in the Stripe Dashboard
Define products, prices, billing intervals (one-off or subscriptions), and custom merchandising metadata directly in Stripe.
Add Product Information and Metadata
Import to WordPress
Run the one-click importer to sync products into the light leadstart_product post type. Metadata maps color swatches, sizes, and attributes automatically.
Store > Import from Stripe
Stripe Checkout
Shoppers purchase via Stripe Checkout. Stock is deducted only when payment completes — never held hostage by abandoned carts.
webhook: checkout.session.completed ✓ verified
Every screen, recreated pixel-for-pixel
The plugin is responsive, theme-aware, and Bootstrap-compatible. Preview the live demo from the menu.

Catalog defaults
Sensible defaults for the /product/ archive and all shortcodes.
Default card design for the /product/ archive and [store_products]; per-grid override with [store_products style="style-3"], from style-1 to style-9.
Used by [store_filters] and by the shop and search pages, which show the filters in a left sidebar when Vertical is chosen. One placement can choose its own layout: [store_filters layout="vertical"].
Products per page/grid unless a shortcode overrides limit="".
The shop templates already use Bootstrap-compatible markup with their own fallback styles. Never loaded in wp-admin.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it require WooCommerce?
No, WordPress holds the product content while Stripe holds pricing and payments. The plugin registers its own leadstart_product post type and taxonomies, keeping your site completely free of WooCommerce data overhead.
Does the plugin conflict with WooCommerce?
No, the plugin switches its addresses whenever WooCommerce is active. The Stripe webhook only changes stock and records purchases for this plugin's own checkouts, so WooCommerce sales are left alone. The "Import from Stripe" process brings products in as drafts, so you choose which ones this store sells.
There is nothing that overlaps — all post types, categories, shortcodes, roles, and stored fields all have distinct names.
You can give each store its own cart, checkout, and account pages on the Pages tab, since WooCommerce has its own.
Where does the shopping cart live?
The cart lives in the visitor's browser (localStorage), mirrored to user meta for signed-in accounts. The server rebuilds every line and price directly from Stripe at checkout, preventing client-side price modification.
When is inventory or stock deducted?
Stock is deducted when payment completes (checkout.session.completed), never when a cart session opens. Abandoned carts hold no stock. If a product sells out during payment, Stripe refunds the customer automatically.
Which shortcodes are available?
[store_products], [store_product], [store_filters], [store_cart], [store_cart_button], [store_my_account], [store_orders], [store_subscriptions], [store_portal], and [store_restrict].
What is editable in WordPress?
You can only edit the title, description, categories, tags, and images. All posts initially save as a draft.
Does the plugin provide order tracking?
No, the plugin does not offer order tracking; Stripe is only a payment processor, and there are many third-party plugins that do so.
Does the plugin support product attributes?
Yes, you add metadata in Stripe for product attributes — colors, sizes, and other options map automatically on import.
Does the plugin allow guest checkout?
Yes, you can enable guest checkout in the plugin settings.
Does the plugin have design options?
Yes, you can change the accent color and offer light/dark mode.
Are we required to enter any private information?
You only need to enter your Stripe secret key and signing secret. The entire checkout process and billing run through Stripe.
Can I use the plugin if I do not have SFTP or SSH access?
Yes, the plugin does not require you to access your file manager or terminal. If there is a conflict, a deactivation link lets you deactivate the plugin so you do not get locked out or have to contact your hosting provider. The plugin is available for Free or Premium WordPress.com users.
What happens when a product is out of stock?
The user can submit their email and sign up to be on a waitlist, and you can send them a notice when the product is back in stock.
Can we enable reviews and ratings?
Yes, the plugin uses the same commenting system as WordPress for reviews. You can enable reviews in settings and require reviews from verified buyers.
