Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Mailchimp)

Our candidate is a Backend technical leader who has experience working in and operating large-scale solutions, plus familiarity with current technology trends and patterns. In addition to technical expertise, you must also be a skilled communicator and collaborator comfortable working across Engineering teams and multiple partner departments.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace, giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our office two to three days per week.
Responsibilities
• Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end and across multiple layers of architecture.
• Design and implement durable software solutions that solve critical customer problems and are scalable, secure, and maintainable, while interacting with numerous other services.
• Provide recommendations and best practices for application development and developer tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, share insights, and apply cutting-edge technologies.
• Innovate to fuel the growth of Intuit, generating creative ideas for emerging business needs.
• Set technical direction for and own the design and implementation of the overall system architecture and infrastructure.
• Develop new features, enhance existing ones, and resolve defects.
• Empower team members—including developers, technical support, and QA—through technical mentoring, documentation contributions, and automating manual tasks.
• Define and adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices.
• Ensure quality through thorough testing and peer reviews for your work and the work of cross-functional teams.
• Scope, estimate, and prioritize work effectively
