About the Role

We are looking for an experienced full stack web developer to join our Digital Marketing team! If you are a creative and results-orientated individual, with proven experience developing and deploying digital solutions for best-in-class user experience, let’s talk!

Aptean’s Digital Marketing team is hiring for a Lead Web Developer who is responsible for developing, managing, and executing digital solutions for aptean.com and other digital properties. The person in this position will demonstrate strong responsible for building and maintaining modern and responsive client-side web interfaces. An eye for design for a best-in-class user experience is critical to success. In this role, you will be maintaining the brand and feel of the online experience, as well as implementing website optimizations and landing pages. You will also:
• Coding, designing, implementing, and modifying websites from layout to function on headless CMS platforms (Contentful)
• Development with core technologies used in our stack such as Angular, Node.js, Express.js, PostCSS, GraphQL.
• Hands on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Work with designers and cross-functional teams to build and refine designs and experiences for websites
• Perform Quality Assurance reviews across devices.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
• Develop code architecture that promotes reuse, readability, responsiveness, and best-practice coding standards.
• Stay current with rapid innovation in web technologies.
• Participate as a team member to generate new ideas, and creatively discuss ways in which the team can improve web presence.
• Update and manage analytics and ad tags across company online properties to ensure data-driven executions
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Train and guide other developers on new or existing applications and current technology trends.
• Partner with SEO and SEM experts to optimize web experience for search campaigns and pages
• Maintain ADA and other data compliance mandates for websites

About you
• Must have experience w/ React as well as Contentful CMS
• Extensive experience developing complex web applications with React, Hooks, and TypeScript
• Work experience with GraphQL.
• Good with CSS and familiar with preprocessors.
• Work experience with GatsbyJs – Routing, Pulling data etc.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Self-starter and able to find issues and resolve them with limited direction
• Expert in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) and methodologies (BEM, SMACCS, OOCSS, etc.) and responsive frameworks (Twitter Bootstrap, Zurb Foundation, etc.)
• Skilled in working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
• Up-to-date knowledge of new web technologies
• Experience with CSS animations, interactivity, and hand-coding SVG
• Skilled in managing wide range of CMS platforms such as Contentful, WordPress, Drupal
• Advanced Angular framework skills
• Strong understanding of web stack back-end development
• Skilled in using workflow automation tools as Gulp, Grunt, etc.
• Experience with Cloud platforms and web service management such as AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial
• Experience in various front-end frameworks (Angular, React) and database design, development principles, and SQL
• Establishing and guiding multi-lingual websites architecture
• Domain management experience
• 8 -10 years’ experience in web development
