The candidate plays an instrumental role in the development of graphic design for all enterprise-wide marketing initiatives while upholding corporate brand standards: print, web, email blasts, sales collateral, event signage and other mediums. This position primarily focuses around print and digital graphic design but also incorporates layout and limited copy writing. The Graphic Designer reports… to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications in a shared services model, providing the opportunity to work on multiple brands owned by The Quikrete Companies. This is an in-office position five days per week. Hybrid or remote work is not possible.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Creates layouts and develops graphics for a variety of materials, including brochures, catalogs, packaging, case studies, infographics, email headers, social media graphics, direct mail, advertising, training materials, trade show graphics, PowerPoint templates, digital banners and other projects as needed. Experience with digital design is a plus.

2. Helps maintain and review digital asset management system.

3. Brings innovation, creativity and freshness to our marketing execution and stays on top of trends in the design profession.

4. Contributes to concept development and brainstorming creative ideas for a wide range of projects.

5. Works with outside vendors to coordinate print and production of materials as needed.

6. Works under limited supervision, taking ownership of assignments and any issues within own area of knowledge.

7. Create and modify documents using the latest Adobe Creative Cloud and XXXXXXXX software and Microsoft Office.

8. Works cooperatively in a team environment; participates in project planning sessions with team members and key stakeholders.

9. Work with both internal and external customers daily.

10. Meets intense and changing deadlines, manages multiple projects, balances shifting priorities and focuses on solutions to improve quality and efficiency as project progresses.

11. In addition to these typical duties, may perform other duties as assigned and required.

Minimum Education

Required minimum education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Required Major/Focus: Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Communications, Marketing. or similar field.

Qualifications

Required:

1. A minimum of 2 years experience in professional graphic design experience, in a business-to-business or business-to-consumer environment.

2. Possesses strong communications skills which facilitate the ability to successfully partner with both internal and external clients during the design and creative process.

3. Flexible with a desire to work in fast-paced, high volume, constantly changing marketing environment.

4. Ability to multi-task and remain on schedule with projects at hand.

5. A positive attitude with a recognized willingness to learn and do whatever is needed.

6. A team player.

7. Software with Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign – with Premier Pro and XD is a plus. with AutoCAD and / or Rhino 3D is also a plus to the role.

8. Expert MAC user.

9. Experience with online marketing and strong understanding of website usability.

10. Strong written and verbal skills.

11. Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to handle copy changes with accuracy, control versions carefully, and ensure files are archived accurately and promptly.

12. Proven understanding of print layout, including master pages, layers, tables, export settings, print requirements, style sheets, fonts, color profiles/palettes, pagination, graphic manipulation, etc.

13. High level of personal initiative, accountability, and follow-through.

Preferred:

1. 4 years experience in professional graphic design experience, preferably in a business-to-business environment.

2. Photography and video editing.

3. Branding experience.
